David James Elliot
David James Elliot was born September 21, 1960 in Canada as David Smith. He dropped out of high school to pursue a music career, but ended up going back. Then he found drama, and knew that was what he wanted to do. He wanted to be an actor. David went to technical school to studie acting, and then joined the Strattford-Ontario Shakepere Festival. He did some other stage and television productions in Canada, then came to the U.S.
He had some jobs here, but also was a starving actor. He went back to Canada to get his girlfriend,Nanci Chambers, who he had left behind.They married without telling anyone, and both worked on their acting carreers. They later have a daughter, Stephanie, and finally on June 26, 1999, they had the proper wedding they'd always wanted.
His series include Street Legal and The Untouchables, and guest roles on Melrose Place, Knots Landing, and Seinfeld. Then he auditioned for JAG, and the rest, as they say, is history.
